Terms & conditions
The house terms.
Dar Nour el Houda is a member of the Margo Hospitality collection. Any direct booking implies acceptance of the terms below — written to be read, like the rest of the house.

Purpose and scope
These terms and conditions govern any booking made directly with Dar Nour el Houda, on dar-nour-el-houda.com and its secure booking engine. Any booking implies full acceptance of these terms.
Bookings made through third-party platforms (online travel agencies) are governed by those platforms' own terms.
-
Booking and confirmation
Bookings are made on our secure engine and confirmed immediately by email. A bank card is required to guarantee the booking. Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
-
Prices and taxes
All prices are quoted in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), inclusive of VAT and applicable service charges. A local tourist tax is added separately, per person and per night, in accordance with Moroccan regulations; it is settled on site.
Rates are dynamic: the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of booking.
-
Payment
Payment is accepted in MAD, in cash or by bank card (Visa, Mastercard). Full payment of the stay is due on arrival, unless the booked rate carries specific conditions — non-refundable rates are prepaid at the time of booking.
-
Cancellation, changes and no-show
Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. Beyond this window, and in the event of a no-show, the full amount of the stay is due.
The specific conditions of the booked rate, displayed at the time of booking, prevail over this general framework. Any request to change dates is treated as a new booking request, subject to availability.
-
Arrival and departure
Rooms and the suite are available from 14:00 on the day of arrival and vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. Please let us know your arrival time (WhatsApp or email) — the team welcomes you at Place du Mokef and carries your bags through the derb. Luggage storage is available on departure day.
-
Staying in the house
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and remain under their supervision. The maximum occupancy of each room is the one stated on its page.
Rooms and the suite are non-smoking; the patio, the bhous, the salons and the rooftop terrace remain at your disposal. Massages and spa treatments are arranged with the team through our partner houses. Lunches and dinners at the table d'hôtes are booked in advance.
The house was the home of a painter and keeps his works on its walls — thank you for treating them with care. Pets are welcomed on a case-by-case basis; please consult us before booking. The house stands in a residential quarter of the medina: please respect its quiet after dark.
-
Accessibility
Dar Nour el Houda is a traditional riad in the Marrakech medina and has no modern accessibility fittings. Please contact us in advance with any specific mobility needs — we will do our best to accommodate you.
-
Access and parking
The house stands in a derb of the Kaat Benahid quarter, the oldest part of the medina: cars stop at Place du Mokef, where the team welcomes you and carries your bags to the door. Guarded paid parking is nearby. Detailed access instructions are provided in the confirmation email.
A private airport shuttle is available on request: €18 for up to 3 guests, €5 per additional guest.
-
Private events
Small dinners or private events — birthdays, weddings, anniversaries — may occasionally be hosted within the house, arranged with the team. Full privatisation is available on request.
-
Direct booking perks
Direct bookings carry the following perks: best rate guaranteed against our public rates, upgrade subject to availability on arrival, welcome dinner offered from 2 nights, airport transfer offered from 3 nights.
These perks apply to every guest included in the booking.
-
Liability
Dar Nour el Houda accepts no liability for loss, theft or injury, except in cases of proven negligence. A safe is available; we invite you to entrust valuables to the team. Travel insurance is recommended.
-
Force majeure
Dar Nour el Houda cannot be held responsible for cancellations due to force majeure: natural disasters, strikes, health emergencies, government restrictions, transport disruptions.
-
Personal data
Personal data is collected solely for booking and communication purposes; it is never sold or shared, except where legally required. Booking processing relies on our technical partner Cloudbeds (booking engine and transactional emails).
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification and deletion by writing to booking@dar-nour-el-houda.com.
-
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Marrakech.
