Dar Nour el Houda The simplicity of luxury.
The former home of a French painter in the oldest quarter of the medina: a patio of light with two bhous around a cooling pool, three rooms and a suite, a rooftop terrace facing the Koutoubia and the Atlas.
The house
The former home of a painter,
kept as an atelier of light.
It is in the heart of Kaat Benahid — the oldest quarter of the Marrakech medina — that Dar Nour el Houda hides, the former home of a French painter, still adorned with his works. Once through the door everything settles: a patio of light opens beneath the olive tree, two bhous face each other around a cooling pool, and the day slides across the walls from morning to dusk.
Here, minimalist decor lets the architecture speak. Three rooms and a suite, all in tadelakt, hold the same quiet certainty: soothing beiges, pale wood, one of the painter’s canvases — nothing more. Above, the terrace unfolds its pergolas and its bar facing the Koutoubia and the Atlas. The simplicity of luxury, exactly.

Rooms & suites
Three rooms, a suite,
each in its own light.
Tadelakt, pale wood, one of the painter’s canvases — four ways of inhabiting the light, from the patio to the rooftops.
The life of the house
From the patio's light, to the terrace at dusk.
Days drift by around the cooling pool, in the shade of the two bhous. The salons open onto the patio — a large fireplace lounge, a reading corner, board games and all the documentation you need to make Marrakech your own.
At noon the patio holds the light —
at dusk the terrace gives it back to the sky.

Dusk, from the rooftops
Higher up, the pergolas; the Koutoubia for a horizon.
Up on the roofs, the terrace unrolls its deckchairs, a refreshing shower and shaded lounges beneath the pergolas. At the bar, fresh-fruit cocktails; at the dining corner, dinners beneath the stars — the Koutoubia and the peaks of the Atlas gilded by the setting sun.
